[It seems someone has decided to change his voicemail following graduation. Hes trying so hard to sound professional, business like, but Hanna's usual enthusiasm bleeds through easily.]
You have reached the mailbox of Hanna Cross. If you don't have an appointment, my secretary will follow up with a return message shortly. [a short pause.] meaning me. I'll get back to you, don't worry.
And if this is an emergency what are you doing on the phone? Cardio is your friend. byyyye!
Re: [Action]
He does hear something outside though, so whether he's still standing there with his copies or walking away, he'll poke his head out, raising an eyebrow at him, and then the report.]
How many of those did you make?
Re: [Action]
Five.
Re: [Action]
[Why does he feel like he should invite him in...maybe make a better impression than, what ever that previous conversation was.]
Re: [Action]
Re: [Action]
[And why do they need a copy if you have one, Thrawn?]
Nico's like two doors down if you didn't know.
Re: [Action]
I am aware. He requested a digital copy.
Re: [Action]
Makes sense. He's a computer guy, good kid.
Re: [Action]
If that's all?
Re: [Action]
I guess not, unless you want to hang out for a bit. You strike me as a guy who would love Tony Hawk Pro Skater 2. [Maybe. Probably not, but he was kind of in the mood for it anyways.]
Re: [Action]
Is that what you believe?
Re: [Action]
Maybe a little. It sure is the vibe I'm catching, but maybe I've got it wrong.
People tend to show a different face during and in the aftermath of a crisis, so I might be way off base.
You seem like a guy who is interested in order, at the very least.
Re: [Action]
Re: [Action]
Anyways, I'm not much a fan of this kind of chaos myself. I thought I had figured out some 'facts' and I was wrong. Me and everyone else paid for it.
The only one I can say for certain even is a fact is inmates can't read the Ledger. Which is honestly fucking useless as far as rules go. You got any others to share, help me toe the line?
Re: [Action]
Yes.
I was unaware you had any interest in following rules. You also do not seem to make a distinction between what is allowed and what is physically possible.
Re: [Action]
But rules are important, even if it's just so you know how far they can bend before they spring back into place. If I figure those out, I can at least be informed, and that's important when you're not actually trying to wreck house.
Re: [Action]
Re: [Action]
I'm not above asking any one, and you're definitely not the first person I've asked, and not the last either. But, what I know is that you seem to be very interested in rules and testing limits yourself, I'd be shocked if you haven't figured any of it out yet, seeing as you're obviously very thorough when you get on task.
[Without much to bargain with, flattery works well, right? And it isn't like what he's saying isn't true either, which is the best kind of flattery in his opinion.]
Re: [Action]
I admit that the one rule I know for certain is that there are no standards. No cohesiveness within the wardens, and this is from their own mouths. You will be disappointed if you look for reason or reassurance, as the only sense within this chaos is what we make ourselves.
The reason I am testing limits is because I wish this ship to operate at its very best, as it is the only way to return to where I am needed most.
Re: [Action]
[unlike before when he was feeling like shit and attempting to field questions his mood is a little more receptive. Probably has something to do with the fact that he isn't intermittently experiencing heart failure. Does wonders for a guy's patients.]
I got that one, though I wouldn't call it a rule, more like a lack of. It practically promotes chaos, which really helps no one.
And just so you know, your idea of very best and everyone else's is going to be different, just like with the lack of cohesiveness with the wardens. How's that going for you, by the way? Recieving a lot of push and not enough momentum to shove back?
Re: [Action]
Re: [Action]
And, if you're actually looking to help people out rather than just herding cats, what can I do to help, if you would have me?
Re: [Action]
Have you seen the escape pods here on this ship?
Re: [Action]
I don't think anyone has even brought them up before. Are they actually supposed to go somewhere specific or just leave us floating in dimensional space until we starve to death?
Re: [Action]
Did you know that we have between fifteen and twenty more passengers than there are life boats?
Re: [Action]
I'm no survivalist but that should be someone's job, right?
And that honestly doesn't surprise me. You ever heard of the titanic? There's never enough lifeboats.
