I'm down by the lake.

[Near the end of the sickness from his last surgery, Hanna feels up for the trip down to the lake, just, has to get some shoes on first.]

Got it. I'll see you in a few!

[OOC: -- actual trip itself until the 11th! 15-hour flight oh god]

Sounds good.

[she switches off her PCD and sinks down onto a rock, watching the house for him]

[she's excited and nervous all at once; on the one hand, seeing Hanna again has been what she's wanted to do more than anything, and yet she'd still found herself putting it off once she realized he was here]

[when he comes out of the house, he'll see that she's been affected by an aging event; she has the memories to accompany it, and so as far as she's concerned, she hasn't seen him for ten years]

[So, coming outside, he doesn't exactly expect to see a different Vriska than the one he saw yesterday, which comes as kind of a shock when he comes around the cliff down the hill. The age difference is very obvious to him, staring at her at the halfway point for a moment before he shrugs and moves down the hill, grinning.

Kind of funny how this shit works, huh?] Holy shhhh- [his throat seizes up, currently unable to swear. He'll swallow and try again.] Uh, holy crap. Looks like you got quite a make over from last night!

[she gives him a weak little smile, standing as he approaches]

Yeah-- a decade-long one.

H-how are you? I mean...

[she lets herself trail off]

[He gives her another look over, remember how she looked the last time event. So it was ten years for her...huh.] I'm wonderful. Feeling a little better than yesterday. Um...Just getting over the last of my surgery jitters I guess?

how about you? [And he'll just be coming forward for a hug because he's sure she'd like one and he doesn't mind getting one either.]

[she had been planning on avoiding hugging-- or any physical contact, really-- because she has a feeling that once she grabs on she won't want to let go, but when it's offered, she can't resist]

[she steps forward quickly into his arms, holding on securely but not as tightly as she really wants to-- she remembers his surgeries and that they made him sore]

Better now. Better right now.

[her voice is a little teary, which makes her laugh at herself, just a little]

-- Fuck, I promised myself I wasn't going to do this.

[He squeezes a little harder, because he really is feeling better.] Hey, swear for me too. I can't this week.

[Another big squeeze.] And don't worry, you're fine. I'd cry too if it'd been that long, Vriska.

I fucking missed you so fucking much. And you're just like I remembered. -- Uh, you're fucking just like I fucking remembered.

Better?

[He almost chokes on a laugh because yes, that is much better.] Throw in a few more shhh-ips. in there. Fuddy duddy! [Excuse him. He's just trying to swear and it's not working.

So have some more laughter in this hug, it needs it anyways.]

[congrats Hanna, she's definitely smiling now]

[she says the name like she's relishing it]

Hanna Cross. Hanna Fucking Cross.

[Good. Go and smile Vriska, he knew you had it in you.]

[after ten years she just can't hold in the sappiness okay]

[It sounds kind of scratchy from underuse to him, but to each his own.]

I mean it. There's nothing better.

[she squeezes his shoulder]

You're going to laugh, but I just want to stay here forever.

[she pulls away from the hug, reluctantly, but now she's just staring at his face]

It's hard to believe you're real. I knew you for a year and a half, and then I didn't see you at all for ten years-- this should feel weirder! I don't think it's sunk in yet.

[He kind of smiles and takes her hand to sit her on a large, flat rock on the shore, setting there himself.] Geez...that's kind of a long time. Were you still here the whole time?

[she squeezes his hand, sitting down next to him and curling her legs under herself]

[she wants to pull him close again, but she resists the urge for now]

Yeah, I was. In the same house, too. I changed a lot of it, but I always left our room the same, and your and Lea's room the same. After a few years I lost hope that you'd come back, but I wanted the memory of ours, and messing with yours and Lea's felt like it'd be disrespectful. I still thought maybe I could get out of here find you again, on Earth. A long time had gone by, so I was realistic about it; I figured there was a good chance you wouldn't remember me, or you would remember me but wouldn't feel the same anymore. I wanted to try, though... and there was this girl who was going to come with me.

[she grins a little at that]

There was a girl, huh?

[Of course he's going to single in on that.] Who was it? Did you like each other?

It was more than that. Remember how I used to tell you you'd be my only favorite until I found someone I loved just as much as you?

Ooooh...

[He'll just lean in with a grin on his face, interested.] So, what's her name?

Kendra.

You'd like her.

... After you left, I wasn't going to let myself get as involved with anyone was I was with you, because I didn't want to put myself in a position where I wouldn't be able to choose who to go with. But then she didn't want to go back to her home universe, and she thought your Earth sounded nice, so...

I bet I would...

So she's not here now? [That's kind of a bummer...like a huge bummer.] But my earth isn't really all that great...her world must have been pretty bad, then.

It wasn't too bad-- there was just nothing for her there.

[a small smile spreads across her face]

That's pretty gross, yeah. I think the longest I've taken was four hours.

I really like plane rides in theory but I tend to get bored really easily on them :P
