[Demyx's reply is equally short, just the coordinates for somewhere by the lake where there's not a lot of foot traffic to deal with.

If he ends up making a total ass of himself he doesn't want witnesses, alright? Hoping Hanna's question meant 'yes', he heads off in that direction himself, though he was already close by.]

[Even though its barely noon, its already dark out, Hanna using runes to find his way. He hadn't met much trouble on the way out, just a good half an hour walk around the lake in the dark, but, he can still hear things around. His hammer glows, and he can see shapes of things in the distance, but he doesn't pay them much mind.

If he gets to where Demyx is, he'll be fine. If he ran into a little trouble himself, he wasn't far from home. It'd be alright.]

Demyx?

I'm here. [Demyx steps into Hanna's circle of light. With this dark, the ash-colored shirt he's wearing blends in pretty easily even if it isn't the inky black coat, which he's shucked for the moment and lays discarded back at Angeal's. He loves that damn coat, but... it's a symbol and a uniform and he's not sure he has the right to wear it anymore. So, salvaged clothing.]

... Sorry, I didn't realize it was getting so dark so quick, otherwise I'd have... probably thought of someplace better. Maybe. I'm glad you showed up I was getting kinda freaked out out here by myself. [Nervous grin.]

[The fact that they're out in the open is a little troublesome. And it bothers Hanna, but not enough to mention they should find somewhere with a door that can be locked when he realizes that Demyx isn't wearing his coat. It's very decidedly strange, something he notices immediately and wonders about.

Demyx had been acting strange the other night...but now that he's not wearing his coat, he has to wonder what happened? With someone still loyal to the organization, he would assume that if anyone it would be Axel taking it off first. But...here he is.]

Back at Angeal's. I haven't thrown it away or anything, but I wasn't sure if I could still wear it what with... [He kind of trails off, scratches at the back of his head while he looks away, and then changes the subject.] That's not why I asked you out here, though. I need to be all... adult-like and not run from things. I wanted to apologize. For, you know. The things I said, at the party. Me in general.

[With what, Demyx? You're going to make him figure it out by himself, aren't you?

The apology is another surprise. He had expected excuses, for Demyx to push the blame on Axel, but he's not.]

Oh...Well? I guess I can forgive you, but I'm still mad about it. [He toes the ground with his shoe, looking up when he thinks he hears a sound, but it isn't anything.] You broke a promise. I made sure you would be okay, so long as you behaved yourself. And then I come around the corner and you're throwing the first punch. [Still a little nervous, he nods his head to the direction he thinks Saix's place is. That's closer right?] We should walk and talk. It's not exactly safe to be out here.

[Demyx nods, shoving his hands in his pockets and starting to walk in that direction.] Organization business. But I'm sorry you got hurt in the crossfire, and I'm sorry that's where it happened. [Even if he's not sorry it happened.

And yes he's going to make you figure it out yourself Hanna.]

Organization business. [He repeats the word but is definitely not happy about it. That's exactly what Axel said and he's kind of done with it.]

I honestly wish you'd just stop with the "organization business" shit. It's really starting to piss me off.

[Demyx -- had no idea that's what Axel used to describe it, but with Hanna's response he can pretty well guess that's what happened. He fights the grin, that would be bad right now.] It's - It's not something that someone outside of the organization would really understand, so it's easier to just say the short version.

I've done my research. I know you guys are crazy. You don't need to just use a blanket term to excuse all the stupid shit you do. Seriously, its getting old. [His arms are crossed tightly over his chest and its obvious that he's not really in the mood for jokes or smiles, so better keep that one to yourself, Dem.]

It's... more than dislike. Though, probably not for him. [Strained smile. He's trying! The smile goes away at Hanna's frown and Demyx looks away quickly, face troubled.] Anyway, like I said - whatever I intended, hurting you was never part of it. I just... lost it. Again. You'd think it literally being the end of me once would learn me, but. Apparently I'm a slow learner. Toooo the surprise of no one.

That isn't the point. [He lets out an annoyed sigh, glancing back at Demyx. And as much as he was still pissed off, or rather, annoyed, he should start investigating a little bit more now. Because it's really starting to bug him. Something is off...something changed. And he can't put his finger on it.]

The coat is a uniform. I don't know if I have the right to wear it anymore. The Organization has pretty strict membership requirements.

[He's just going to stare a moment because, Oh. Well, that was probably why Axel got so pissed off.]

Don't mind him if he's all of a sudden getting up in Demyx's business and pressing his ear to his chest, with a little bit of standing on his tip toes. Even with all the noise of zombies around, wandering, he is trying to hear a heartbeat.]

What-? [Considering the way he got all up in Angeal's grill about checking his pulse Demyx doesn't really have room to complain. He does, however, have a heartbeat now - though it speeds up when Hanna gets all up close and personal because wtf dude.]

[After a few convincing beats, Hanna steps back, looking legitimately surprised.] Okay...color me surprised.

[Hanna bites his lip, not sure whether to ask about it or not. While he's still not talked to Axel yet, he's wanting to ask more about Demyx's shiny new beating addition. But at the same time...would it make him mad?

Hanna's curiousity gets the better of him though.]

I've been trying to figure out for months how that shit works. I mean, I've got notes on my pcd and everything!

There's someone here, a magician I guess, he made functional organs for people back in his world. Saix never talked to him, but when I mentioned his research he left behind, the guy asked me about it. He spent a few months trying to get it to work. So... you know. This may go horribly wrong still. No other loyalist around to be a test subject though.

I got it the day before the party.

[Magic. That was a very open-ended answer. What kind of magic? Hanna was positive that nothing he could do could replicate a heart like that. His just...kept alive what was left. And while what was left wasn't much? It was still something.]

So its only for loyalists to test out huh? [He raises an eyebrow at Demyx, not sure if he likes the idea of keeping the information from Axel if he wants it. But, the timeline of getting a heart and then starting a fight at the party does make sense.]

[He actually fully intended to let every Nobody he had a number to know if it worked out. He just... had to make sure it worked out first.]

Yeah. I wasn't expecting it, especially since I -- Not everything went the way I expected right off the bat, so I figured the rest would be manageable. I was wrong. That happens a lot when you're an idiot. [an idiot who did in about six months what six geniuses couldn't do in NINE YEARS, YEAH BEST BE RECOGNIZING- admittedly Demyx had access to an entirely different arrangement of skills here.]

[Hanna is trying very hard not to agree with him. He is kind of an idiot, but now that he gets the other half of the story. That Demyx has been having trouble sorting out his emotions? Well...that's an easier reason to accept than him just flying of the handle.]

You're not an idiot. I told Axel once, he should be happy he doesn't have the emotional capacity I do...sometimes you just can't handle it all.

I mean, whether its caring too much, or getting too angry. It's really difficult to control and just, think sometimes. And I guess...now you know.

I'd forgotten what it was like, it's been so long. At the same time ... I expected to become a different person maybe?

[He pauses, trying to find the right words and to get back on track. And trying to ignore the creepy sounds happening just outside the circle of light.] ... Are we... y'know, cool? Do you need me to grovel? I could probably grovel.

I don't really think it makes you become too much of a different person...There are subtle changes, but...[He tries to think about the ten year later event, how Axel was happier. And that his smiles were full of feeling. Lots of feeling. Its a little hard to remember it all.]

[But? At the next question, Hanna can't help but smile. He knows he shouldn't. It'll just encourage him, like it might with a child, but he shrugs, nodding towards the outline of a house he can see in the distance.] We're cool. You just, need to think more than feel in the future. I'm still kind of mad, but...I guess I can give you a little leeway, with your crash course in feelings and all.

[Oh thank goodness, a structure! That can be hid in. Admittedly not with his usual meatshields, but it'll do.] If nothing else, I'll stay out of Axel's way. ... At least when people who could get hit with friendly fire are around. [... He probably wouldn't be able to get Hanna to be angry at both of them a second time, after all.]
