[laughing even more, and shifting around so she's in his lap, putting her arms around his neck]

See what I mean? You are badass!

No one believes that I can be kind of a dick when I'm mad.

[He grins.] I guess, now you know.

You are fierce!

[she rubs her nose against his cheek]

Want to see your present?

[He grins more, laughing.] So fierce.

[But, at the question he perks up a little, wrapping his arms around her shoulders to press a soft kiss to her cheek.] Do I? I think yes. Yes I do.

[saaaags against his shoulder]

Okay. I'll go get it.

[... making absolutely no effort to actually move yet]

Wow, you're like. Fast as lightening. Did you know that?

Yeah, I know. You didn't even notice I was gone, did you?

You left? Crazy...

I'm just that awesome!

[the she sighs dramatically and reluctantly disentangles herself]

Okay. I'll be right here. [Don't mind him as he sprawls across the couch.]

[she comes back a few minutes later, holding something behind her back]

[He's just going to try and lean to see if he can see what ever it is.]

[she holds it out proudly; it's pretty beat-up, but it's a big book of paranormal stories, phenomena, and occurrences]

[Hanna's squeak of excitement isn't exactly manly, but that's okay. He hops up and gives her a big hug, book and all before pulling her back on the couch.]

[she curls up against Hanna, shifting behind him so his chin can rest on her shoulder]

Some of the pages are ripped out, but I think most of it's still there. I looked.

That's okay. It's still awesome.

[He settles and cracks the book open, being careful with it even if he really would like to just bullet through the whole thing and read.]

[Vriska settles her chin against the top of his head]

I bet you're glad I decided to give it to you now, huh.

Well its really cool! I wouldn't even have known if you hadn't said anything. But I'm excited to read it.

[she finds the subject mildly interesting, but her favorite part by far is sitting here with Hanna to read it]

[He'll just have to find the real cool stories for her. Except excuse him while he gets distracted by a page on salamanders.]

Woah. I love these things, have you ever heard about Salamanders?

No. Tell me about them.

Okay, so they're like regular little lizards, except for they're elementals. So, their element is fire!

They're actually really sweet, they don't mind you holding them. Kind of cute, but if you get a lot of them together, its bad news bears. They'll burn everything if they start getting hot. Since their flames don't really start burning until you get a bunch all in one place.

Anyways, they're adorable. Until you have an infestation, and then you have to worry about your house being burned down or what ever.

So they're lizard firebenders?

[she thinks]

Have you ever seen one?

Kind of. Just elementals. They're very warm. If you were able to keep a handle on population control, you wouldn't need to heat your house, they'd do it for you.

But they kind of flock together. So, that's potentially dangerous.

But yeah, I've done some stuff with them before. Nothing too dangerous. But they're really fucking cute. Well, if you like lizards they're cute anyways.

I wish we had some here. It's coooooooold.
