I don't think it was actually intended as revenge. Self-righteousness, perhaps.

Although... well, "disappointing" is good news. I certainly don't want him to decide that doing any of this made him feel better.

Well, the problem with deciding whether or not it did anything becomes 'sorry, your death and suffering was pointless'.

I'd like a little life lesson out of that at least. If i gotta die for it, hopefully you learned something?

There is very rarely a meaningful reason for death and suffering.

But I do hope he's learned that it's not an effective way to exorcise his feelings.

I did let everyone know at the beginning that I don't believe torture has any use, which I suspect warded off the more... obviously brutal.

We really need better words than "demon." So many people respond with all kinds of assumptions.

His powers are fully restricted and he's not welcome back in the kitchen for a month. I'm also expecting him to work with me on accepting his own responsibility.

I can't say just yet what that will look like.

...you know thats my bad. Usually im the one lecturing people on the M word. I just figure asking him about his life probably wont get ne anywhere. But youre right! I shouldn't just assume demon means hell.

It means a lot to him, yes. Not just the work, but-- he's very possessive of the place and his co-workers.

[So, taking him out of that position of power means more than just taking away work he likes.]

-- as for his history, yes, you're right that he doesn't like answering questions. But I can say with authority that not every demon is a fallen angel serving Satan. [There's a bit of dry amusement in his voice at that.]

I mean, we have a few on board and I don't think any of them are from the same dimension aside from when we had Blitz and Stolas. Oh, and Stryder...but he was fucking weird if you ask me. [Says Hanna who is definitely fucking wierd.]

But I suppose when you take pride in your work it is a punishment to have it taken away.

But mostly we're all from different ones, you're right. And -- yes, exactly. I don't think it's too much for him, not when it gives him time to spend with Ciel, but it is something that'll leave a mark.
