[It seems someone has decided to change his voicemail following graduation. Hes trying so hard to sound professional, business like, but Hanna's usual enthusiasm bleeds through easily.]

Oh...uh, yeah! Of course, what can I do you for?

[Hanna doesn't normally expect people to ask him for help but he's always ready to when they do.]

[Jesus almost never asks for help for himself. He sounds awkward to his own ears]

I have a cursed knife. Can you break it?

[The way he immediately perks up at the request is almost adorable.]

I can certainly try! Curses are usually all a little different, but they're like fun, evil puzzles.

Where the heck did you get a thing like that anyways?

It's a long story. I thought I was stabbing a walker and instead ended up stabbing Red...and I guess it was a reflexive curse.

Should I bring it to you?

Oh...gotcha. Red and Sweeney are the same dude, right?[Which would mean Leprechaun Fae sort of magic. In Hanna's experience that can be some spicy stuff.]

Yeah, bring it over, I'll tinker with it, and you can tell me what the curse does?

Unless you don't know, though if you're thinking it's cursed I'm gonna have to assume you have some reason to think it is.

Red--Sweeney, yeah. I think he has a lot of names.

He confirmed it is cursed, but we weren't able to lift it off the knife. It... it makes me think of someone I killed with it. And then I can't seem to let the knife out of my sight.

Oh shit...did he even know he'd done it? Usually when someone casts a curse, they know what they did because it was intentional. But some of that older magic is fucking reactive, and it's a bitch to sort. Like, I curse you on my death bed sort of shit that's generational, you know? Madame Zeroni fucking shit. [He probably should have a better example, but that's the first one that popped into his head.]

Yeah, dude, bring that shit over. I make no promises that it'll be quick, but I will crack this curse. It'll be like my Halo of the Sun project, except this one shouldn't hurt anyone horribly in the end. [He actually going to try some safety precautions this time even, look at him learning!]

No, no I think it just happened. I don't think there was anything malicious on either side, I think it was just bad luck.

[He gives him a little wave and cuts the feed.]

Jesus lets himself in but feels self-conscious enough about it to knock. "Hello? Hanna?"

Hanna doesn't mind at all. He seems to have gotten his space ready, the circle rug rolled up into the corner with his floor space wide open, some chalk on the floor. If it doesn't have to last so long it's easier to clean up any way.

He waves from his spot on the floor, gesturing to the spot in front of him. "Hey! You bring your horribly cursed object for the master to inspect?"

"Oh god I hope it's not horribly cursed," he jokes, holding it out in front of him. It looks, to all intents and purposes, like a normal dagger with leather black wrapping around its hilt.

"What do you think?"

"Well, we'll see about that!" Taking it by the hilt carefully, Hanna sets it on the floor, starting to draw.

There's a process here, try to identify the thing, the type of magic and then break the curse. He gestures to a stool, his own bed or the floor while he waits.

"Gonna have to play with it a bit, see what we got going on and then I might be able to do something about it. You wanna stick around?"
