•FOURTH WALLING / CANON PUNCTURE: If you can convince me that your character would have read Hinabn, sure, but it's very unlikely. Hanna does know a lot of pop culture, so he will potentially recognize other characters, I will keep an eye out for fourth-wall permissions.
•BACKTAGGING: I am totally fine with this, but I usually will announce on Plurk when I’ve gotten overwhelmed and reach out to people if they feel like it would be appropriate to drop a thread and either discuss what would have happened if it continued or let it die.

IC CHARACTERISTICS:
•CURRENT CANON POINT: Chapter 3, page 151 "Stuck outside looking in"
•PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Hanna is so thin that you might think he's going to blow away. He stands at barely 5'2", is around 100 pounds and totally shops in the little boy's section, it's easier on the wallet. His bright red hair is kind of a slicked back mess with what is probably a receding hairline that he swears is just the fiercest widows peak you've ever seen. He has square framed glasses that hide his bright blue eyes, and he has pretty blurry vision without them, though he could still navigate, just don't ask him to read anything.
Hanna normally wears pretty loud shirts, either a patter, a print, or a bold color, and layers up to try and give himself a little more substance. He'd like to take up as much space as possible so no one pays attention to the fact that he's fucking tiny. He has checkered vans that are a little rough around the edges, he's had them since he was 16, but he takes good care of them. Shoes are expensive. On his right shoe he has drawn a cross on the bottom of it, mirroring the cross shaped scar on his foot in the exact spot.
Without his shirt, Hanna's body is a bit of a spook show, his torso and arms are covered in old runes that have been there quite a while and look like old tattoos, the magic doesn't glow any more, but it's still doing its job well. Starting from his right hip just below his navel and going just under his collarbone is a criss-crossing scar held together with medical grade staples.
•DEMEANOR: Hanna is pretty casual and friendly, he talks too fast, gestures with his hands and is generally pretty pleasant. He can be a bit much though, and can also lean a little more on the obnoxious side, especially if he's getting excited about something. He gets excited a lot. He has decent posture, gotta make the most out of all those inches, and likes to lean on most things when given the chance, be that a person or an object.
If questioned he gets a little flighty and avoidant, and depending on how serious the question is, he can come off as either relaxed and dismissive, or straight up uncomfortable. He has not the best self esteem, but he's pretty decent at hiding it, just don't be surprised if he suddenly gets super insecure, he's not working on it but he'll say he is.
•ABILITIES: Hanna's magic is pretty varied and comes in the form of runes that require equal parts knowledge, intent and form to be activated. When in use they glow a bright magenta color and provide minimal light, enough to see a little better in the dark. They require a sold surface and can be given out for later use on pieces of paper, ready to be activated with a touch. Basics include Offensive, defensive, barriers, seals and recreation magic. Not all of these are currently working as a lot of his magic is currently nerfed. He isn't happy about it.
•MEDICAL INFORMATION: Hanna will be avoiding the infirmary like the plague. Nothing like getting a new primary care doctor when you've got a weird ass list of pre-existing conditions. If anyone decides to pick Hanna up they will discover that his body weight is very oddly distributed, especially around his torso. He feels like he's missing something, and as noted above, he has a large scar on his torso that is stapled shut. Hanna's internal organs are being kept alive by his magic, and anyone with a good enough nose can pick up the smell of death lingering around him.
In the event of using more powerful or even too much magic in sequence, Hanna experiences organ-failure like symptoms that pass quickly enough if he's not over-exerting himself. Hanna does not mix well with ghosts and if passed through, his magic can be disrupted, causing other issues and normally requires a good thirty minutes to recover after passing out. He'll jump right back up again though, no problem. It wasn't even that bad, don't worry about it, guys.
Lastly, Hanna's brand of magic taints his blood. If you are a vampire and you decide you need a tasty snack, Hanna is the Four-Loko you shouldn't have cracked open after leaving the corner store at 4 am, and just like it, you'll definitely regret taking even just a sip.
•CABIN INFORMATION: Cabin 609, the door looks like it's been through a chipper and put back together again. Both the number 6 and 9 are hanging upside down and barely hanging on, making it look like 906 instead of 609. His cabin is small, a studio with the tiniest window that Hanna can't even reach.He's got a mattress on the floor with the a blanket that's seen better days. The floor is covered in sheets of paper, each one covered in different runes, and he's got an old laptop sitting next to the bed. A small TV and nintendo 64 sit in a corner, much beloved along with some classic games he's had since childhood. Hanna has a new bed with a real frame tucked in the corner of the room. It's a full and makes the space feel a little smaller, but warmer in the fact that it's actually got something in it that looks new. Next to that, a bookshelf packed with DVDs, CDs and books, some fun, some rather old looking are kind of organized on the shelves, but nothing is alphabetized or seems to have an easily recognizable system.
His TV and game system have it's own stand now, set in front of the bed so that it's comfy to play, close enough that the controllers can reach if you're laying down with your head facing the end of the bed. Finally, in the center of the room is a large 6' in diameter rug that is a checkered pattern, the floor no longer covered in sheets of paper, though they'll accumulate here any there, he is trying to keep the place a little tidier.
A little kitchen island serves as his table, two stools at it with his laptop situated there along with an assortment of paper and markers. His small kitchenette seems to have been gutted with empty spaces ready for appliances to be filled, and his fridge is plastered with a varying assortment of magnets.
Finally, starting to encroach everywhere due to boredom and dedication is strings of paper cranes pinned all around. All in all, despite how the walls seem to be falling apart, it looks a little more lived in. Noticeably, Hanna's Admiral Pro's and Con's list that is still pinned up next to his bed seems to finally have a tick or two in the Pro's column to combat the growing tick marks on the opposing side.
•OFFENSIVE SUBJECTS: Hanna does not tolerate people talking about 'monsters' or the paranormal as things or inhuman, even if he understands that most of them never were human. He will ask nicely once, but any sort of continuing of this line of thinking will result in him throwing hands. He actually does have a pretty good right hook despite his small size.

•MENTAL: Hanna would hate this, unless it wasn't so invasive, like guidance magic. Feel free.
•MIMICRY: He'd think it was hilarious until it wasn't. Go, go!
•VIOLENCE: Hanna likes to negotiate, but he isn't above throwing hands. He can and will probably get into fights, though how much magic he has access too will probably determine the outcome of the fight.
•MAGIC: Show him all the different kinds of magic, he's all for it.
•DEBATE: Of course, though if you try and debate whether or not monsters are people, he's not having it.
•OTHER / NOTES: Hanna comes with the BODY HORROR tag right out the gate, if you don't want to see it, he doesn't really want to show you, but just let me know and I'll be careful with it. He is also not very good at taking care of himself, and while he loves food, he's a horrible cook and may need reminders to feed himself and/or do other forms of bare minimum self-care.
